Job Description
We are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to work within a forward-thinking and ambitious school based in Portsmouth.
• DT Teacher required from September 2025 on a full-time basis

• Superb opportunity for a DT Teacher to deliver Product Design and Engineering in an expanding department
A strong DT department in a vibrant Portsmouth school is seeking a dedicated and innovative DT Teacher. The successful applicant will teach across KS3 and KS4, with an emphasis on Product Design, Resistant Materials, and Engineering. KS5 teaching may also be available for candidates with relevant experience.
The DT faculty is well-supported and resourced with modern workshops, CNC equipment, 3D printing facilities, and CAD suites. The department prides itself on creative, project-led learning and regularly collaborates with local employers, colleges, and universities. There is a clear commitment to real-world learning and technical excellence.
Experience and Qualifications
• DT specialism with QTS (Product Design, Engineering, or similar)
• Experience teaching KS3–KS4; KS5 desirable
• Strong knowledge of design software and modern manufacturing processes
• A passion for technical education and innovation
• UK teaching eligibility essential
