Design & Technology (DT) Teacher
Location: Hammersmith & Fulham
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a creative and innovative Design & Technology (DT) Teacher to join a forward-thinking secondary school in Hammersmith & Fulham. The successful candidate will inspire students to explore design principles, develop practical skills, and embrace problem-solving across a range of material areas. This role is ideal for an educator passionate about fostering creativity and technical proficiency.
The Role
The DT Teacher will:
* Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across Key Stages 3-5 (e.g., Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food Tech, Textiles), including GCSE and A-Level.
* Develop students' understanding of design processes, manufacturing techniques, and critical evaluation.
* Maintain a safe and inspiring workshop/studio environment.
* Contribute to extracurricular DT clubs and competitions.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking a qualified DT Teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) who:
* Possesses strong practical skills and theoretical knowledge in at least one DT specialism.
* Is highly creative, enthusiastic, and able to inspire students of all abilities.
* Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Is a collaborative team player, eager to contribute to the school's innovative curriculum.
