DT Teacher – Barnstaple, Devon
Are you enthusiastic about igniting creativity and practical skills in students? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated DT Teacher to join a specialized school in North Devon, starting September 2025.
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £31,650 - £45,646 + SEN Allowance

Situated amidst the picturesque landscapes of North Devon, our school caters to students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated learning challenges. We emphasize therapeutic support, personalized learning, and overall development, fostering student confidence and skill enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver dynamic Design and Technology lessons tailored to individual student abilities
Facilitate the development of practical skills and creativity
Collaborate closely with SEN support teams and therapists to ensure holistic educational support
Cultivate a positive, secure, and stimulating classroom atmosphere
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Design Technology
Experience working with SEN students, preferably in an SEMH environment
Effective classroom management skills with a nurturing teaching approach
Passion for inclusive education and student achievement
