We are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to work within a high-achieving and well-respected secondary school based in Reading.

An exceptional secondary school in Reading is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Design and Technology Teacher for a September 2025 start. The successful candidate will be joining a well-established department that plays a central role in the school’s curriculum and extracurricular programme. The post involves teaching DT across KS3 and KS4, with potential KS5 for candidates with relevant experience.
The DT department is equipped with excellent facilities including modern workshops, CAD/CAM machinery, 3D printers, and laser cutters. You will be supported by experienced technicians and a collaborative team of specialist teachers. The curriculum places strong emphasis on creativity, problem-solving, sustainability, and innovation.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design and Technology Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students, delivering practical and theoretical content effectively, and nurturing a love for design. Experience and Qualifications
• Design and Technology Teacher with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
• Degree in DT or a related subject area
• Ability to teach Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics to KS4; KS5 desirable
• Familiarity with health & safety protocols and machinery handling
• Engaging teaching style and excellent classroom management
• Legal right to work in the UK
