Job Description
We are looking for a Design and Technology Teacher to work within an ambitious and modern school located in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Full-time DT Teacher required from September
Well-resourced department in an academically strong school
Focus on Product Design, Resistant Materials, or Graphics welcomed
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated DT Teacher to join a school with an excellent reputation for technology and innovation. The successful candidate will teach KS3 and KS4 Design and Technology, with the option of KS5 Product Design depending on experience.
You’ll be joining a collaborative department with access to top-class facilities, including two fully equipped workshops, a laser cutter, 3D printers, and a suite of CAD/CAM software. The school places great emphasis on hands-on, practical learning, and encourages student participation in engineering challenges and national design competitions.
The department enjoys strong student uptake and consistently achieves excellent results. You will be supported by an experienced Head of Department and technician team and be encouraged to contribute to wider STEM initiatives across the school.
Experience and Qualifications
• DT Teacher with experience in Product Design, Graphics or RM
• Teaching qualification with QTS (e.g. PGCE, SCITT, Schools Direct)
• Able to deliver engaging practical lessons safely and effectively
• Knowledge of assessment at GCSE and (optionally) A-Level
• Right to work in the UK
