We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design and Technology Teacher to join a forward-thinking DT department in a respected school based in Weymouth. This full-time, permanent role is ideal for a teacher passionate about hands-on learning and equipping students with real-world creative and technical skills.
You will be teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to specialise in Product Design, Engineering or Resistant Materials depending on your background. The department is well-funded and features advanced tools including 3D printers, laser cutters, and a modern CAD/CAM suite.
This is a dynamic department with an emphasis on innovation, sustainability, and practical problem-solving. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to extracurricular STEM events, enterprise competitions, and design exhibitions.
Experience and Qualifications
• DT degree or relevant technical subject + QTS
• Able to deliver DT subjects confidently at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 an advantage)
• CAD/CAM skills and workshop safety qualifications desirable
• Team player with energy and creativity
• Right to work in the UK
