Job Description

Design Engineer - CAD

ARCA is supporting an aerospace programme seeking a Design Engineer to assist with detailed design.

The role is hands-on, focused on CAD generation, detailing and design maturation across rotor components such as blades, hubs, spinners and blade pitch mechanisms.

Key responsibilities:

  * Produce and maintain 3D CAD models and assemblies

  * Create 2D detail drawings suitable for formal release

  * Support design iteration as loads, stress and manufacturing inputs mature

  * Work closely with Stress, Manufacturing and Checking teams to resolve design issues

  * Prepare CAD and drawing packs for PLM release

Design inputs:

  * System and component requirements

  * Existing CAD models and assemblies

  * 2D & 3D Design including GD&T

  * Stress feedback, load cases and FEM inputs

Tools:

  * 3DX

  * PLM / configuration management systems

Contract details

  * Bristol-based (hybrid 2-3 days onsite)

  * Outside IR35 - ~£45 p/h

  * 3 month rolling contract
