Design Engineer

Our client is recruiting a Design Engineer to join their growing team!
Design Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:
* Design and produce wiring diagrams for bespoke machinery, in addition to all mechanical design
* Develop ideas and concepts through manufacture, of bespoke major assemblies from the ground up, using AutoCAD and Solidworks
* Able to work with and program logic relays, motor drives
* Use AutoCAD and Solidworks to produce variants and tooling drawings for legacy machine equipment
* Produce minor assembly drawings for glue associated equipment to customer hot machinery
* Produce detailed equipment manuals using MS office tools
* Frontline contact with customers at their site
* Working with a team of engineers
* Well organised and punctual
The ideal Design Engineer will be:
* Experience within a similar job role of at least 5 years
* Previous experience designing machinery
* Proficient with 2D or 3D AutoCAD
* Strong familiarity with manufacturing processes, milling, turning, welding/fabrication
* Experience in mechanical engineering and design tooling
* Experience of new product introduction, including design, development, prototyping, testing and approval, successful introduction
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
