Ideal role for a graduate or junior engineer looking to progress their career within design engineering. * Proven experience in mechanical design (ideally in machinery, special purpose equipment or similarly complex systems) with strong CAD skills. * Ability to work with multi-discipline teams (design, manufacturing, service) and to follow a product through from concept to build through testing. * Interest in precision systems, bespoke variations and custom engineering solutions is a plus — we value designers who can think beyond standard catalogue products. * A proactive, hands-on mindset: seeing problems, proposing improvements, and willing to engage with manufacturing realities and customer feedback. This Design Engineer working environment, benefits & rewards: * Working for a global manufacturing business with an excellent reputation as a good employer in the Bourne area. * A very clean, modern facility, the working environment is excellent. * Excellent length of tenure across the business, stable and progressive company culture. * £30,000 - £35,000 starting salary as a rough guideline.
