Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on Service & Commissioning Engineer based near Norwich. You’ll be out on client sites, both onshore and offshore, working with industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADA platforms, and other embedded solutions. If you enjoy problem solving, working with your hands, and seeing projects come to life, this role could be perfect for you.

Key Responsibilities as a Service & Commissioning Engineer:

  * Test, commission, validate, and service LV industrial control systems

  * Work with hardware and software, including Rockwell and Siemens platforms

  * Troubleshoot and solve system issues, both hardware and software

  * Prepare test records, reports, and project documentation

  * Support installations, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing)

  * Attend client sites for commissioning, servicing, and maintenance (onshore and offshore)

  * Be part of an on-call service rota for client support when needed

  * Keep clear logs of activities, key events, and project progress

  * Communicate effectively with clients, project engineers, and your team

Requirements as as Service & Commissioning Engineer:

  * Experience commissioning industrial process, safety, or control systems

  * Hands-on with Rockwell and Siemens platforms (RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, S7, PCS7, WinCC, TIA Portal)

  * Strong problem-solving skills—you can diagnose software/hardware issues and fix them

  * Comfortable travelling to client sites, including offshore

  * Good IT skills (Word, Excel, databases)

  * Someone who can work independently but is also a team player
