Design Engineer/Norfolk/Permanent – up to £40,000k per annum depending on experience
Position 1 Recruitment are looking for Design engineer to join our client, manufacturing site based in Norfolk. Our client is a reputable producer of a bespoke product, due to the ongoing growth, they are looking for an experienced Design engineer to join their engineering team.
What’s on offer:
* Full time, permanent position 07:30 - 16:30 Monday- Thursday and 07:30-12:30 on a Friday.
* Option of Hybrid work after completion of probation period
* Salary: £30,000.00 – £40,000.00
* Cycle to work scheme
The role:
Reporting to the Head of Mechanical Engineering, Design engineer will be responsible for the design and development of specialist equipment, including producing engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create 3D models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor
* Produce Bills of Materials and technical documentation
* Ensure designs meet client specifications, industry standards, and regulations
* Carry out design calculations and review documentation accuracy
* Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and suppliers
* Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and KPIs

About you:
* Degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
* Experience in mechanical design, ideally within specialist equipment, heaters, pressure systems, or hazardous area equipment
* Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor (or similar 3D CAD software)
