The Role

As a Design Engineer, you’ll be involved in the full product lifecycle—from early-stage concept development through to testing, certification, manufacturing, and installation.

Working within a collaborative technical team, you’ll create high-quality designs, develop technical documentation, and provide engineering support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Support the full product design lifecycle, from concept and prototyping through to production launch
Produce detailed 2D and 3D CAD designs (Autodesk Inventor/AutoCAD)
Create and maintain manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
Develop and manage product specifications, system parameters, and technical data
Assist with product testing, certification, and validation processes
Support the transition of new products into full-scale manufacturing
Provide technical advice and problem-solving support across the business
Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant
What We’re Looking For

Essential:

HNC/HND in Engineering or a related discipline
Experience in a design engineering role or relevant degree-based experience
Strong 3D CAD skills (ideally Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD)
Experience producing manufacturing drawings and technical documentation
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desirable:

Degree in Engineering or similar
Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
Knowledge of the building, glazing, or home improvement sector
Advanced CAD experience and familiarity with Autodesk Vault
