This role would be well suited to a designer who enjoys running projects, as well as prototyping and Cad work. Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide reliable, cost effective designs that maintain compliance to Product Specification.
Coordinate prototype procurement / manufacture for concept design validation.
Ensure design validation (inc. tolerance analysis, calculation, FEA as required) is achieved and documented.
Produce 3D models and 2D drawings and other technical documentation.
Coordinate regular cross-functional design and DFM reviews, documenting actions / minutes.
Check and approve designs (3D and 2D), calculations and reports.
Prepare and amend costed BOMs through all project phases.Requirements
Design engineering role within dynamic manufacturing organisation.
Track record of successful new product development and introduction.
Hands-on, practical engineering skill (i.e. prototype building, testing).
Proven 3D and 2D capability (AutoCad inventor or equivalent).
Preparation and amendment of costed BOM's and routings.26768/610
