About the Role: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer
Based in the Southwest UK, you’ll join a talented and dynamic team as a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer. Reporting directly to the Head of Design, your role will involve supporting the development of both existing and new seating products.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of new and existing seating products using SOLIDWORKS.
*
Create detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing teams.
*
Produce 3D models and visualisations for new product designs to guide production.
*
Support ongoing improvements to existing product designs and specifications.
*
Collaborate closely with the sales team, delivering design presentations for both new and existing products when needed.
Candidate Requirements:
We welcome applications from both recent graduates and experienced Design Engineers.
Graduates:
*
Degree in Design Engineering, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering.
*
Worked on furniture projects
*
UK Driver's License.
Experienced Design Engineers:
*
1–2 years' experience in New Product Development within furniture industry.
*
Degree in Design Engineering, Product Design, or Mechanical Engineering.
*
Strong CAD and 3D modelling abilities.
*
Knowledge of manufacturing and construction techniques, including steel fabrication, plastic injection moulding, casting, and finishing processes.
*
UK Driver's License.
Package:
*
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
