JOB- Mechanical Design Engineer / Development Engineer
LOCATION- East Sussex
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £25,000 - £32,000 per annum (dependent on experience; please advise)
My client design and manufacture a variety of plastic products and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer on a permanent basis in the East Sussex area.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
HNC / HND / Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering
New Graduate’s will also be considered
Any placement / experience in the engineering sector in a similar design role working hands on with prototypes would be desirable but not essential
Good 3D CAD knowledge ideal (SolidWorks preferable)
Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
Have good communication skills both verbal and written
Good proficiency with using Microsoft OfficeThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:
Working hands on within the Engineering team
Supporting new products into the production process
Assisting Design Engineers with product development
Creating product BOM’s
Integrating with company documentation procedures
Designing / draughting work using SolidWorks
Communicating with different team members
