Job Description

We’re looking for a hands-on designer and product manager hybrid to own and shape the future of our Disruption Impact platform from our London office. You’re a “T-shaped” product owner with a strong spike in UX/UI design and prototyping. You always take extra steps to spot opportunities in our target customers' daily workflows and blend them into our product roadmap, ensuring they align with the founding team’s vision. Transport is one of the most stubborn industries out there, and you’ll work end to end with messy, unpredictable data formats. Importantly, you enjoy project management and adapt quickly. You take initiative without being asked, and work at pace. Under your project management, the product team does not miss deadlines. You’re the type who’ll figure out the path without clear guidance from either the founding team or the market. When asked what you need to finish a task, you give a clear, confident answer — no vague estimates or hidden “just-in-case” buffers. We’d love to see: * 3+ years of hands-on experience in data-driven or AI products, preferably enterprise-grade tools * A well-rounded AI-product design skillset (good eyes, Figma, Jira, understanding of APIs) * Startup or small team experience * Ability to turn customer insights and company vision into prioritised features * Comfort operating in a small, fast-changing team * Experience working with large, messy data sets Bonus points for: * Geospatial data, maps, or CCTV camera projects * Tools for public or regulated sectors * Familiarity with AI or ML concepts in product design What you’ll do * Design user journeys and top-notch interfaces, with a focus on making AI-driven workflows feel intuitive and human. * Prioritise features to fit ongoing projects, while ensuring it’s aligned with the vision of flagship platform * Manage daily product development progress and deadlines * Meet with customers when needed * Work with the product team to deliver a world-class product through fast iteration ⚠️ This role isn’t for you if... * You prefer to work fully remotely or can’t commit to at least 3 days a week in our London office * You need lots of structure and detailed specs before starting * You’re heavily focused on either UX/UI design or product management alone (without end-to-end ownership) * You’re not up for the intensity of an early-stage startup * You have side hustles or other big commitments What we offer We’ll do our very best to offer you a ride of a lifetime. It won’t be easy, but it will be thrilling. * Work directly with the CEO * Be part of the early innings of a new tech wave * Weekly 1:1s to support your growth * Salary: £45k–£50k + equity * We work together in the office at least 3 days a week (London) — it’s the way to build trust and move faster * As our first in-house designer, you will not only shape the full design vision but also have the opportunity to grow into a Lead Designer or Head of Design role as our team expands * We conduct annual salary reviews as we grow, so there is potential for your compensation to evolve alongside your career progression 🎫 Visas You’ll need a valid visa for at least 1+ year. We can sponsor visas for exceptional hires after your current visa ends. Stages 1. STAGE 1 — Value-based discussion A 30-minute intro call with Andre (CEO). You’ll get an overview of Moonbility, share your motivations, strengths (and weaknesses), and ask us anything you like. 2. STAGE 2 — Technical screen Another 30-minute session with Andre. We’ll chat about products you’ve built and dive into our product stack. Then, you’ll get a short take-home task (max 2 hours) to solve a real-world problem we’ve faced. 3. Final Stage — Technical debrief An in-person, 45-minute session at our office. We’ll review your take-home task together, discuss your approach to prioritisation and user journeys, and explore how you’d work with our team
