Salary: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum
We are seeking an experienced Design Manager with a strong background in civil engineering to join a leading engineering and construction company based in Derbyshire. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dynamic design team and oversee the delivery of high-quality civil and structural projects across a variety of sectors.
Responsibilities:
Manage the design process from concept through to delivery, ensuring designs meet client specifications, budgets, and deadlines.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of design engineers and technicians.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and consultants.
Oversee technical drawings and design documentation using AutoCAD and Revit.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety regulations.
Review design changes, manage approvals, and ensure design integrity throughout project lifecycles.Requirements:
Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Proven experience in civil design management or a senior design engineering role.
Strong working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
