Are you based in and around the Uxbridge area, in West London this Main Contractor is seeking to hire a Design Manager that can add value throughout the life cycle, be that tenders or live projects.
You will be joining a forward thinking business that has a superb track record within the industry.
Are you a Design Manager with pre & post contract experience………. What does this mean? Well do you have experience of leading the Design Process at Pre Construction / Bid Stage and also whilst at execution delivery stage on site?
We are looking for a rounded Design Manager that can work closely with the Pre Construction team in the Head Office whilst supporting sites based across the UK. Our client is open to this persons background whether it be Civil Engineer, Architect or Site Management.
What’s important is that you can see the big picture in relation to the design & technical aspects leading through the construction life cycle of a project. You will be joining an ambitious, dynamic and fast paced business currently on their way to turning over £1 Billion. They are busy all over the UK and are making headway within the European market as well.
These project values generally range from £50-250 Million. Can you see risks, design clashes or solutions when needed…… Can you think outside the box on how to work with the supply chain and client to help bring successful projects in for a WIN WIN for everyone.
0.5% saving to the project may seem significant but that level of detail is what has set this contractor apart. Its what has enabled them to pay bonuses and annual pay reviews on a yearly basis.
Do you have the following experience
* Main or Sub Contractor experience in a Design or Technical Coordination capacity
* Design & Build Project Experience
* IT & Software systems you feel comfortable on
* Are you a strong communicator and can handle a team or a client when needed
* Construction Background relevant to the role be that Degree on HNC
* You will have the technical understanding to read drawings and review programs
* Exposure to BIM is not essential but may help in the futureBefore You Apply
