Are you an experienced Design Manager based in the Yorkshire area?

Approach Personnel are partnered with an industry-leading Main contractor who specialise in student accomodation, apartment blocks and flats. We are on the look out for an experienced Design Manager who has a similar background with a Main Contractor to join their internal team. As a Design Manager, you will be in charge of developing and managing the design schedule to align with the construction timeline.

What are we looking for?
* A background as a Design Manager/ Assistant Design Manager for a Main Contractor
* Experience in designing plans for student accomodation, flats and apartment blocks
* Excellent knowledge and understanding of construction related legislation and regulations, with a proven track record on producing high levels of health and safety
* Full UK Driving License
Key Responsibilities:
* Working to ensure all design aspects and drawings are accurate, produced on schedule and of a high standard
* Managing the lifecycle of design works for each project, overseeing the design team’s work, assessing and mitigating risk
* Ensuring all produced works are in line with legislation and guidelines, monitoring updates and changes in regulations to ensure compliance
* Maintaining working relationships with clients to create a line of visability and solid line of communication regarding all aspects of a project
