We are now seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our team.
Vanguard Healthcare Solutions are a British, privately owned, international clinical services and infrastructure provider supporting healthcare clients across the UK and worldwide.
Our purpose-designed and built modular and mobile facilities provide our clients with new or replacement Operating Theatres, Wards, Endoscopy Suites and Decontamination and diagnostic units. As part of our solution to our clients we also support them with clinical teams and equipment.

The Design Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the design process to deliver innovative, efficient, high-quality solutions. You will ensure that design deliverables are produced on time, meet agreed standards, and support the successful delivery of projects. Working closely with colleagues, clients, and external partners, you will play a key role in driving design quality, compliance, and efficiency. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge healthcare solutions while developing your leadership skills within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
* Design Coordination: Manage and coordinate design activities across projects, ensuring alignment with project programmes, scopes, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into practical, compliant design solutions.
* Problem-Solving: Identify potential design challenges and contribute creative, practical solutions.
* Quality Control: Review design deliverables to ensure accuracy, compliance, and quality. Ensure use of the project common data environment.
* Process Support: Assist in developing and improving design management processes to ensure they are efficient and fit for purpose.
* Team Contribution: Support colleagues and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.
* Technical Input: Provide technical advice & support.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute ideas to improve design quality, efficiency, and innovation within the team.

* All employees are required to understand, take individual responsibility, cooperate and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety policy and processes to ensure the Company’s Health & Safety obligations are met.
Requirements
* Off-site construction design experience, ideally with experience of healthcare projects.
* Strong organisational and coordination skills.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
* Good working knowledge of design principles, regulations, and industry standards, particularly in healthcare.
* Proficiency with design software and tools, with strong attention to detail.
* HNC level qualification in a relevant subject such as Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent experience (minimum 3 years).
