Job Title: Design Manager
Location: Sherburn
Salary: £45,000 - £48,000p/a DOE
HRGO Recruitment are seeking a Design Manager to lead a busy CAD team in Sherburn. You'll oversee daily operations, ensure design accuracy, and work closely with other departments to support production.
Responsibilities:
Manage and support the design team's daily workload
Ensure orders and drawings are accurate and delivered on time
Work with other departments on design and manufacturing constraints
Convert client requirements into clear manufacturing drawings
Interpret customer details and resolve design issues
Provide weekly workload reports and appraisals
Maintain and update KPIs, SOPs, and training records
Support product development and standardisation
Manage recruitment and team training
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, 50001, and CE marking standards
Report any compliance issues and attend relevant meetings Key Skills & Requirements:
Experience in a design office within a production environment
Proficient in 3D CAD - SolidWorks and AutoCAD essential
Good Microsoft Office skills
HNC/BTEC in Engineering or Construction (preferred)
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Able to work under tight deadlines and handle pressure
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Team-focused, committed, and detail-oriented
