Shift Pattern: Days Mon- Fri

The Company
My client is one of the world’s leading manufacturers within their sector who have been established over 35 years. Supplying their products into the varied industries the group has gone from strength to strength over the last decade to become centre of excellence within the industry they specialise in. Due to further expansion within the UK market; they need to recruit an additional Maintenance Engineer.

The Role
Design & Development:
Lead the design of new automation builds and improvements to existing equipment, producing detailed production drawings and technical manuals in line with the Machinery Directive and UKCA compliance.
Standards & Quality:
Ensure all designs meet BS8888 standards, ISO 9001/14001 requirements, and internal procedures, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and environmental compliance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electronics, and software) and key stakeholders to define specifications, agree project briefs, and deliver to agreed deadlines.
Continuous Improvement:
Drive engineering improvements and cost reductions across the company, implementing Kaizen activities, supporting 5S initiatives, and resolving production quality issues.
Project Management:
Manage projects from concept through to completion, ensuring work is coordinated, documented, and communicated effectively across departments.
Skills & Expertise:
Apply strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills with proficiency in Inventor, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office; previous experience in FMCG automation design is essential.
