GSL Education are currently looking to appoint a creative and dedicated DT Teacher to join a dynamic school in Bilborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled educator to foster technical abilities, problem-solving, and design thinking in young learners.
Responsibilities as a Design Technology Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons across Key Stages, covering areas such as resistant materials, product design, and CAD/CAM.
Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and understanding of the design process.
Prepare pupils for coursework and assessments in line with the national curriculum.
Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring workshop or classroom environment.
Contribute to cross-curricular projects, competitions, and extra-curricular clubs.
Requirements for Design Technology Teacher:
UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is mandatory.
Previous experience teaching Design Technology in a school setting is preferable.
Strong subject knowledge with practical experience in a range of materials and technologies.
Good classroom and behaviour management skills.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained.
