Design & Technology Teacher – Permanent, January 2026
 Are you a creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher who thrives on helping students discover new skills and grow in confidence? This welcoming specialist school is seeking a talented Design & Technology Teacher to join the team from January. As a Design & Technology Teacher, you will be supporting students with a range of additional needs, delivering engaging lessons that inspire curiosity and hands-on learning. You’ll work with small groups of students who benefit from structured teaching, clear routines, and a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering creative and practical Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Adapting teaching to meet a wide range of learning needs and abilities
Creating an inclusive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
Using high-quality equipment and workshop spaces to bring learning to life
Working closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff to support students’ academic and personal development
Contributing to curriculum development and sharing ideas within the department
Providing clear structure, routine, and positive behaviour support to ensure students feel safe and confident
Tracking progress, assessing learning, and reporting outcomes effectively
Helping students develop resilience, independence, and problem-solving skills through practical learningThe school is looking for a Design & Technology Teacher who:

Has experience teaching D&T at secondary level
