Do you hold QTS in Design & Technology?

Do you have experience teaching students between the ages of 11 – 16+?

Do you have experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for students and places a strong emphasis on helping young people develop both academically and personally. Staff work closely together to ensure that students are supported to reach their full potential in a structured and inclusive setting.

The Head Teacher is looking to take on a driven DT Teacher, on a long-term basis, with the opportunity for the role to lead to a permanent position for the right DT Teacher. The successful DT Teacher will be working with students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, delivering engaging lessons that are adapted to meet the individual needs of learners.

The role will be paramount in helping students build confidence in practical subjects, while following and implementing the school’s schemes of learning. A patient and adaptable approach will be essential when supporting students with additional needs, ensuring they remain engaged and motivated within the classroom.

The successful DT Teacher will have:

QTS with Design & Technology specialism (ECT’s are welcome to apply)
Experience teaching DT up to Key Stage 4 / KS4
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Excellent classroom management and the ability to adapt lessons to meet individual learning needs
