Design Technology Teacher (KS3-KS5)

Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:10pm)
Daily Rate: £172.98 - £200 (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Cardiff is seeking a passionate and dedicated Design Technology Teacher to join their team from September. This is a full-time position teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5, with the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a creative and well-resourced department.
Both experienced teachers and ECTs/NQTs are strongly encouraged to apply.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging and innovative Design Technology lessons, inspiring pupils to develop their creativity, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities. The school places a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching and learning, and is looking for someone who can contribute positively to its supportive and collaborative environment.
Teaching A-Level Design & Technology experience is preferred but not essential.
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent understanding of the Welsh Curriculum
Enthusiasm and genuine passion for Design & Technology
Ability to inspire and motivate learners of all abilities
Ideally some ability to speak Welsh (desirable, not essential)
Essential Compliance:
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
Registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
