Design Technology Teacher – Reading
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time, Maternity Cover (6 Months)
Salary: £31,350 – £42,689 + Benefits
Location: Reading, Berkshire
We are seeking a creative and practically-minded Design Technology Teacher to join a high-achieving independent school with modern facilities and a supportive ethos. You’ll be responsible for delivering DT across KS3 to KS5, bringing design thinking and technical knowledge to life for curious and well-behaved learners.
✅ QTS + DT or Engineering degree
✅ Experience teaching resistant materials, 2D/3D design & CAD
✅ Confident in project-led teaching with a blended learning approach
✅ Excellent classroom behaviour and lesson resources already in place
