A welcoming and high-achieving secondary school in Tower Hamlets is seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology Teacher to join their team on a permanent basis starting in September.
About the Role – Design Technology Teacher
We are looking for a dynamic Design Technology Teacher who can inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Design Technology, with a focus on either Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, Food Technology or Textiles. The successful Design Technology Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging and practical lessons that promote innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.
As a Design Technology Teacher You Will
* Teach DT across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
* Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons with real-world relevance
* Support students with coursework, controlled assessments, and project work
* Contribute to a collaborative and supportive department
* Maintain a safe and inspiring workshop/classroom environment
* Take part in extracurricular and enrichment opportunities
About You
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or ECT with DT specialism
* Strong subject knowledge in DT and familiarity with the national curriculum
* Excellent classroom management and behaviour strategies
* Creative, practical and passionate about design and innovation
* Committed to student achievement and development
