Are you a passionate and creative DT teacher ready to inspire the next generation of designers, engineers, and makers? Hays Education is working with a well-regarded secondary school in Middlesbrough to recruit a Design & Technology Teacher for a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the autumn term (Christmas 2025).
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and practical DT lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Plan, prepare, and assess student work in line with the national curriculum
Foster a safe and stimulating learning environment in workshops and classrooms
Support students in developing technical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities
Contribute to departmental planning and school-wide initiatives
✅ Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Specialism in Design & Technology (Product Design, Resistant Materials, or similar)
Experience teaching in UK secondary schools
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Hays)
