Role highlights:
You'll deliver DT to KS3 and KS4, with scope for KS5 Product Design. You'll design modules covering eco-design, material lifecycle awareness, sustainable construction, and social impact project briefs. You'll also lead students through prototyping, CAD/CAM, and production planning to bring ideas to life.
Key responsibilities:

Plan and lead engaging lessons rooted in design thinking, prototyping, evaluation, and user-centred design

Manage workshop safety and machinery use, instilling precision and technique

Showcase student innovation at public-facing events (e.g. DT fairs, exhibitions, apprenticeship showcases)

Collaborate with local engineers, makerspaces, and environmental organisations
Ideal candidate:

DT, Engineering or Product Design degree with QTS
*
Proficient with tools, CNC, 3D printing, and CAD software (e.g. Fusion 360, SketchUp)
*
Passionate about sustainability, creativity, and employability-based learning
*
Excels in guidance, differentiation, and technical upskilling for students
