Key Responsibilities

Teach DT across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to deliver KS5 specialist courses
*
Develop and refine engaging project-based units—ranging from consumer products to smart systems
*
Support technical skill development: CAD design, CNC manufacturing, robotics and materials understanding
*
Encourage real-world context through maker challenges, collaboration with industry partners, and practical exhibitions
Candidate Profile
*
Engineering, Design, or Technology degree with QTS
*
Comfortable in a workshop environment supervising machinery safely
*
Engaging, creative, solution-driven educator with strong behavior management
*
Eager to develop departmental initiatives and innovation-focused curriculum

High-quality facilities including laser cutters, 3D printers, CNC routers, and wood & metal workshops
*
Strong technical team, and open-sourced resource sharing
