Design Technology Teacher required from September to work on a full-time basis

We are looking for a Design Technology Teacher to join a thriving and ambitious secondary school based in Bath. This is a full-time, permanent teaching position starting in September 2025. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching across Key Stage 3 and 4, with the possibility of delivering KS5 if experienced. The school’s DT department is vibrant and well-resourced, offering a curriculum that includes Resistant Materials, Graphics, Product Design, and Textiles. A specialism in any of these areas will be welcomed, and the role includes opportunities for co-curricular innovation and enterprise education.
You will join a department that values both practical and theoretical approaches to teaching and learning. With outstanding workshop facilities, laser cutters, 3D printers, CAD suites, and specialist technician support, the school fosters hands-on, design-led learning. The team is collaborative, energetic, and passionate about engaging students in the real-world applications of design and innovation.
Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant DT or Engineering-related degree
• Experience teaching DT across KS3 and KS4; KS5 experience beneficial
• Skilled in health and safety management in workshop environments
• Strong classroom management and differentiation techniques
• Eligible to work in the UK
