Job Description
We are looking for a Design & Technology Teacher to work within a high-achieving and well-equipped school based in Reading, Berkshire.
• DT Teacher required from September for a full-time, permanent position
• Excellent secondary school with strong practical subjects and facilities
• Great opportunity to join a creative and supportive Design & Technology team
This role is ideal for a teacher who thrives in a hands-on teaching environment. You’ll be delivering engaging, practical lessons across KS3 and KS4, with scope to develop into KS5 depending on your experience. Key topics include resistant materials, systems and control, CAD/CAM and product design.
The department is forward-thinking and benefits from outstanding workshop resources, laser cutters, 3D printers, and modern ICT provision. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to whole-school projects and design exhibitions.
Experience and Qualifications
• Qualified Teacher of Design & Technology (QTS)
• Expertise in resistant materials, graphics, or product design
• Experience with CAD/CAM tools desirable
• Strong team player with a proactive mindset
• Legal right to work in the UK
