A well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time teaching role, open to both experienced teachers and confident ECTs looking to complete their induction in an encouraging and dynamic environment.
The Role:
Deliver engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Teach a range of D&T disciplines (e.g. Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering), depending on your expertise
Plan, assess, and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
Inspire students to think creatively, problem-solve, and develop hands-on skills
Contribute to a well-resourced and collaborative D&T department
Participate in whole-school initiatives, CPD, and extracurricular activities

Location: Bournemouth, Dorset
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, permanent or long-term
Pay: In line with the Main Pay Scale / Upper Pay Scale (MPS/UPS)
Ideal Candidate:
Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in the UK
Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level, ideally to GCSE
Strong subject knowledge with a passion for hands-on learning and creativity
Committed to supporting pupils of all abilities to reach their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
