Teacher of Design and Technology (Resistant Materials) - Wirral Secondary School
Location: Wirral
Start Date: September 2025
Duration: Until October half-term (with potential to extend until Christmas)
Pay: Up to £232.56 per day (depending on experience)
Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a passionate and skilled Teacher of Design and Technology to join a successful secondary school on the Wirral. This is a long-term opportunity, starting in September and initially running until October half-term, with the strong possibility of extension until Christmas.
The school are seeking a talented Design and Technology Teacher who specialises in Resistant Materials and can deliver engaging, creative and challenging lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
The Role:
Teach Design and Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials.
Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Assess, track and report on pupil progress.
Inspire students to develop a love for practical design, creativity and problem-solving.
Contribute to the wider life of the school and department.
The Ideal Candidate:
A qualified Teacher of Design and Technology (QTS or QTLS).
Specialism in Resistant Materials is essential.
Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
Ability to engage, motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 Design & Technology.
