📍 Location: Colchester
📅 Contract: Short term Contract
💷 Pay: £130 - £140 per day, based on experience
We're seeking an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher with a specialism in Woodwork to join our client. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire creativity, develop practical skills, and help students bring their design ideas to life.
What You'll Do:
✅ Teach Design & Technology with a focus on Resistant Materials and Woodwork
✅ Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons across KS3 and KS4
✅ Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and safe workshop practice
✅ Support pupils through project work and coursework preparation
✅ Maintain a safe and well-organised workshop environment
What We're Looking For:
🎓 QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
🪵 Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and health & safety
💡 Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities
🤝 A team player with excellent communication and classroom management skills
