The Education Network is currently recruiting for a skilled and enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Technician to join a supportive and thriving Secondary School in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and organised individual with a passion for supporting practical learning in Design Technology.
Role Responsibilities:
Preparing, setting up, and maintaining tools, machinery, and equipment for DT lessons.
Ensuring a safe working environment by carrying out routine maintenance and safety checks.
Supporting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and lesson preparation.
Ordering and managing stock, resources, and materials for the department.
Assisting students with the safe and correct use of equipment during practical sessions.
Promoting health and safety standards across the workshop and classrooms.Requirements:
Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar workshop/technical support role (school or industry).
Knowledge of safe use and maintenance of DT tools and machinery.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with staff and students.
An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).The School Offers:
