Overview
A hands-on design role creating technical, accurate and visually engaging retail and commercial fixtures. You’ll turn customer briefs into practical, manufacturable solutions and support projects from concept through to installation.
Strong AutoCAD skills are essential for this role.
About the Client
A long-established UK manufacturer and fitout specialist with a reputation for quality craftsmanship. You’ll be joining a supportive, collaborative design and project team who deliver bespoke retail environments for well-known brands.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce accurate technical drawings, details and specifications for manufacture (AutoCAD essential).
* Develop concepts from customer briefs, ensuring designs are practical, functional and on brand.
* Select materials suitable for cost, durability and manufacturing processes.
* Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
* Support prototype builds and resolve design or production challenges.
* Manage multiple design projects, ensuring deadlines and standards are met.
* Prepare drawings, documentation and reports for stakeholders.
Experience Required
* Proven experience in retail fixture design, shopfitting or commercial interiors.
* Expert AutoCAD capability — mandatory.
* Experience with SketchUp, Solid Edge or similar tools beneficial.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
* Confident communicator with good organisational skills.
* Creative, practical thinker with strong attention to detail.
* Flexibility to support site or project visits when requiredBefore You Apply
