We’re currently working with a leading principal contractor delivering high-profile infrastructure and utility projects across the UK. Due to continued growth within their power division, they are now looking to expand their in-house design team.

Key Essentials:
*
As a Designer, you’ll be responsible for producing design drawings and technical documents for HV/LV infrastructure projects (up to 11kV) ensuring compliance with DNO and statutory requirements
*
Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and DNO representatives to develop and submit complete design packs
*
Support project delivery from early design through to construction, ensuring the design is maintained and assisting with any technical queries on-site
*
Contribute to tender design, value engineering, and early contractor involvement (ECI)
*
Ensure designs meet all necessary safety, regulatory, and quality standards including CDM and ENA guidelines
Requirements:
*
Strong experience in utility or power infrastructure design, particularly with DNOs (e.g., UKPN, SSE or SPEN)
*
Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with G81 standards and ENA documents
*
Good understanding of electrical and civil design principles and design risk management
*
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team
