Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen at a Motor Parts & Accessories Specialist, based in Lincoln for a Despatch Operative to join the team as soon as possible! The role will involve working full time hours, 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday and will be a temporary on-going opportunity, with the potential to turn permanent depending on performance. The pay rate for the role will be £12.80 - £13.50 depending on experience. Working within a warehouse environment, you will be required to complete several administrative tasks as well as manual work assisting our current Warehouse Operatives. Duties of the role will include:- · Complete accurate data entry for despatch records and systems · Manage and respond to export/import and customs documentation and queries · Arrange and confirm carrier bookings and collections · Prepare and process customer invoices and despatch notes · Liaise with internal teams and external freight/customs agents to ensure timely shipments · Maintain accurate shipping records and ensure compliance with company and regulatory procedures · Pick, pack, and prepare orders for despatch within the warehouse · Label parcels and pallets according to customer and carrier requirements · Safely move goods using pallet trucks · Ensure products are correctly packaged and stored in designated area · Perform regular stock checks and assist with inventory control This role would suit someone with experience in a warehouse or logistics environment who is competent in the use of IT systems including MS Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
