Looking for a new opportunity to showcase your Tekla detailing expertise? We're on the hunt for a skilled Tekla Detailer with strong experience to join a leading steel work subcontractor.
An extremely successful subcontractor known for their expertise in bespoke architectural metalworks and structural steel are currently seeking a competent Tekla Detailer to oversee their upcoming commercial projects in London.
This company has gained their recognition as an innovative subcontractor by providing high-quality solutions across London due to their unparalleled expertise in bespoke steel and metal works.
Working individually and within a team you will be responsible for all aspects of the design process. This will involve interpretation of architectural / services drawings leading to production of CAD layouts and working details. Therefore, you will have experience of using the latest AutoCAD packages ideally be proficient with Tekla and similar packages. You will also have relevant, practical experience gained in a suitable sub-contractor environment where you will have been involved in designing or detailing steel or metalwork. Thus, to be successful in this role you will need to be commercially aware and have excellent communication skills.
Minimum requirements:
- Proficient in Tekla Structures
- Strong background in steelwork detailing
- Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Experience in a similar role
- Excellent problem-solving skills
The ideal Tekla Detailer will have gained 5 + years' experience working on exterior projects. Ideally you will be HND or City and Guilds qualified in a relevant construction or engineering related discipline. Preferably you will also be computer literate with programming experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments.
