On behalf of Deloitte, AMS are looking for a Development Lead - Full Stack for a 6 Month contract based in Dublin -hybrid once a week.
Job description - the role
Purpose of the role:
* We are seeking a seasoned Development Lead with a strong full-stack background to lead a cross-functional engineering team. This role requires hands-on development expertise, leadership experience, and the ability to bridge front-end and back-end teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions.
What you'll do:
Lead a multidisciplinary team of front-end and back-end developers in an Agile environment.
Guide integration efforts between front-end (React, CSS) and back-end (Java, Spring) components.
Collaborate with architects to translate high-level architectural designs into detailed technical solutions.
Contribute to development activities (~25% hands-on coding).
Facilitate Agile ceremonies (~20%) including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Drive technical excellence, code quality, and best practices across the team.
Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure seamless deployment and integration on AWS infrastructure.The skills you'll need:
8+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years in a Development Lead or similar leadership role.
Proven experience leading cross-functional teams in Agile environments.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Front-End: React, CSS, JavaScript
Back-End: Java, Spring Framework
Solid understanding of system integration and microservices architecture.
Experience working with AWS cloud services.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Next steps
