SRG is working with a global manufacturer of polymer products, who develop and manufacture high performance chemicals for use in electronics. Based in the Merseyside area, they have recently started hiring for a new member of their R&D team. This is a great opportunity for a scientist with a background in the polymers, coatings, materials or speciality chemicals industry looking to progress in their career. Applications encouraged from people with industry experience or a similar background with a PhD or post doc looking to make their first move into industry.
Role Description
Developing and project managing new and existing formulation products, supporting portfolio growth and identifying market opportunities
Leading R&D projects through the full product development lifecycle, ensuring compliance with ISO standards and effective stakeholder communication.
Scaling up formulations from laboratory development through pilot production to full manufacturing, working closely with engineering, operations and quality teams.
Testing and evaluating formulations using a range of analytical and physical techniques to support product development, manufacturing and quality improvement.
Driving continuous improvement in laboratory, testing and manufacturing processes while maintaining supplier relationships, safety, quality, risk assessment, documentation and intellectual property standards.
Requirements
Degree in Chemistry or similar discipline
Recent experience formulating products in the chemicals industry
Experience in rheology would be a distinct advantage although non essential
Ability to travel or relocate to the Merseyside area
Full right to work in the UK.
