Job Description

Our client based in Morecambe has an exciting opportunity to join their existing Laboratory team and are looking for a Development Technician.
The role will be to support in the development and realisation of products in the Laboratory and Formulations Department and ensure the ongoing quality of products produced by the company by carrying out department specific tasks.
Key responsibilities:
* Make laboratory-scale batches to given formulations and test to supplied specifications.
* Prepare samples for internal and external customers.
* Set products up onto stability and compatibility tests.
* Request and file raw material certificates of analyses for laboratory samples.
* Order raw materials for use in the laboratory from external suppliers and request stock raw material samples from the warehouse.
* Request and file raw material approval forms and documentation from external suppliers.
* Monitor and update the Raw Materials Approval Tracker, requesting current documentation as and when required.
* Maintain good housekeeping and follow Good Laboratory Practices.
* Any general laboratory duties which may be required from time to time to support the function of the department
To be considered for this role:
* You must have a keen eye for detail
* Good communication skills
* Be computer literate
* Have good personal and equipment hygiene standards
* Be prepared to wear PPE (provided)
* Be flexible – ability to react and respond positively to changes in priority
This is a temp – perm position.
The hours of work are 37.5 per week, the core hours are between 9 – 4, however in order to finish at 2pm on Friday you must make up 2.5 hours anytime between 7.30 – 6.
Whilst temporary the hourly rate is £12.21
