Job Description
Hays are supporting a public sector organisation based in North Bristol who are recruiting for a permanent Azure DevOps Engineer. The role is paying up to c£57k depending on experience and offers hybrid working typically 2 days per week on site (free parking).
In the role you will join an Agile development team and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. Your work will directly support rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with developers, QA, and product owners to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Services.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
Automate routine tasks and support continuous integration and delivery best practices.
Participate in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and CI/CD pipeline configuration.
Strong knowledge of Azure services (App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, etc.).
Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps culture.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-400, AZ-104).
Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Application Insights).
