Disabled Facilities Grant Officer
📍 North West England | ⏳ 6-month contract | 💰 £35–£40/hr (Umbrella)
Help transform lives by enabling people to live safely and independently at home. We’re seeking an experienced DFG Officer to join a proactive local authority team and deliver essential housing adaptations.
Your Role:
Manage DFG applications from referral to completion
Carry out home visits, feasibility assessments & means testing
Prepare schedules of work, specifications & cost estimates
Liaise with Occupational Therapists, contractors & residents
Monitor works on-site, ensure compliance & sign off completed projects
Maintain accurate case records and performance reports
What We’re Looking For:
Strong knowledge of DFG legislation & local authority processes
Experience in housing adaptations (e.g., stairlifts, level-access showers, ramps)
Ability to produce technical drawings/specifications
Excellent communication & negotiation skills
Full UK driving licence
