Job Description
We are looking for a Communications Assistant to join our team. This is ideal for someone with practical experience in network and telephony systems, particularly switch configurations, who wants to gain valuable hands-on experience within a supportive council environment.
Job Title: Communications Assistant
Location: Rhondda Valley, Rhondda Cynon Taf
Pay: £22.00 per hour umbrella
Contract: Fixed-term, 3 months
Key Responsibilities -
* Provide technical support across network and communications infrastructure
* Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot systems to ensure stability and performance
* Assist colleagues with technical issues and queries
Core Technical Areas -
* Cisco networking and switching
* Aruba switching and wireless
* Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
* Microsoft Teams Telephony
* Touchpoint systems
Skills Required -
* Competent and knowledgeable in switch configurations
* Hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba technologies
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
