Job Description
Our client is a leading UK financial services business with a strong reputation in the insurance sector. This role is ideal for a qualified tax professional looking to broaden their experience within a reputable organisation.
Reporting to the Direct & Employment Tax Manager, you will manage direct tax provisions, support UK tax compliance, and liaise with finance teams across the business. The role offers exposure to a variety of tax functions, process improvement initiatives, and strategic decision support. This is a fixed term contract for a period of 12 months.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare direct tax provisions and deferred tax calculations for statutory accounts
Finalise tax computations for HMRC submission and respond to tax queries
Post monthly tax charges and produce consolidated tax reporting
Reconcile direct tax balance sheets and monitor issues
Collaborate with finance teams to analyse data and identify process improvements
Support forecasting of effective tax rates and Payments on AccountCandidate Profile
Chartered tax or accountancy qualification (CIOT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
5+ years post-qualification in an in-house tax or Big 4 environment
Strong technical knowledge of UK corporation tax and tax accounting
Proficient in Excel and data analysis; Oracle experience desirable
Self-motivated with excellent communication and teamwork skillsPackage & Benefits
