Integrity Education Solutions are supporting a unique independent Special Educational Needs (SEN) group based in London, which provides therapeutic education for children and young people with special educational and neurodiverse learning needs (SEN).
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a visionary and dynamic Director of Education to join a thriving and growing independent education group committed to inclusive, therapeutic education for neurodiverse children and young people with complex needs. This key strategic role sits on both the Operations and Executive Boards and will play a central role in shaping the future of specialist education across multiple London-based schools and services – including an accredited national online provision. With the option of working 2 days remote per week.
The organisation delivers exceptional therapeutic education, health, and care services for pupils aged 7–25 with SEND and SEMH needs, including those with experiences of exclusion, trauma, or complex life circumstances. With a proud track record of never permanently excluding a student and an ethos built on inclusion, empowerment, and high aspirations, the schools are pioneering a powerful social mission that achieves outstanding long-term outcomes.
As Director of Education, you will lead educational strategy, innovation, and standards across the full spectrum of in-person and online learning environments. The postholder will:
* Provide inspirational leadership to school Heads and senior leaders.
* Ensure high-quality teaching, curriculum delivery, and educational outcomes.
* Drive school improvement and quality assurance across all provisions.
* Lead innovation in therapeutic pedagogy and inclusion practices.
* Represent and advocate for the organisation’s non-exclusion model at national level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic oversight of education across all schools and services.
* Innovation and quality assurance in curriculum, data, and pedagogy.
* Leadership development and coaching of school and service Heads.
* Delivery of inclusive pathways and successful transitions for pupils.
* Advocacy and partnership engagement with stakeholders, LAs, and policymakers.
* Ensuring all services are Ofsted-ready and aligned with SEND best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be:
* An accomplished education leader with significant experience in specialist, SEND or therapeutic settings.
* Experienced in system-wide leadership and strategic school improvement.
* Committed to the highest standards of safeguarding, inclusion, and pupil outcomes.
* Skilled in managing multi-site educational environments and diverse teams.
* An advocate for vulnerable learners, with the presence and credibility to engage with national stakeholders.
Salary offered: £92,000 - £102,000 (Dependent on experience)
