Director of Engineering with a background in leading product led, delivery focussed emerging teams is sought by a high growth, well known e-commerce business based near Birmingham.
Known in their sector as market leading innovators this Director of Engineering will use a background in full stack engineering and technical strategy & delivery utilising the latest technology to deliver new products and solutions.
This role would suit an established Director of Engineering looking for more autonomy to drive innovation and change in this high growth, AI focussed organisation.
In return this Director of Engineering can expect excellent autonomy and personal growth in this knowledge share driven, innovation led environment.
This Director of Engineering near Birmingham should have most of the following key skills:
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in fast paced, product led SME or scale up environment
- Experience leading on re -platforming and/or tech stack upgrade projects (ideally node.js/ JavaScript/ Python focused)
- A collaborative, flexible yet delivery focussed management style
- Experience engaging with board level stakeholders
- Solid understanding of cloud first microservices/ serverless architecture
- Experience in helping individuals reach their full potential
- Proven track record building and delivery a scalable technical strategy
- Experience implementing AI solutions into commercial platforms
- A business outcome focused approach to engineering
